4 Corner 2v2's

Practice your 2 player actions with this continuous drill.

Description of Drill: This drill is set up with four sets of 2v2s: high, right, low, and left. The adjacent sets will work together:

Start the drill with a 2v2 high. When that set is finished, run a 2v2 on the right side with a new pair entering high (since they were just used in the previous set). Continue in a clockwise direction.

Equipment Needed: You might need cones to indicate where to start the 2v2s

Skills Emphasized:

  • 2v2 attacking options/concepts - Draw and dump, on ball pick with a fade, clear for an iso, flips and fake flips

  • 2v2 defense options/concepts: Jump double, Switch, Stay

Coaching Points of Emphasis: 

  • High pace, intense work on attack and defense 2v2 concepts

  • Ideally, players stay in their quadrant but that is up to the coach

  • May set time constraint

  • Switch middies halfway through
