Communication Passing
A quick fundamental drill that focuses on communicating.
Description of Drill: Three players spread out at the top of the 12-meter. They run down, touch the goal circle and as they run back, the coach/or next player in line rolls a ball to one player. The player picks it up and outlets it to a player next to them who is communicating with them. The third player cuts back to the ball and communicates to the player with the ball and then receives the ball and shoots.
Equipment Needed: 30 balls and a goal; but you can do it without the goal as well.
Skills Emphasized: Quick passing and communication.
Coaching Points of Emphasis:
Quick passing, finding the open player, and moving it one more
Communication: Outlet, one more, through
