Move it Fast
The drill is set up to make offense act fast in both even and uneven settings.
Description of Drill: This is a drill that starts as a 1v1 and builds to a 2v2, 3v3, and finally a 4v3. This description and diagram will show the 4v3 version below.
How to Set it Up:
4 offensive lines and 3 lines for defense start in a diamond around 12m.
Offensive players in the 1,2 & 3 will have a ball in their stick ready to go.
The defense will be in lines 1,2,3 matching up in front of the offense.
The line at X(4) will be unmarked and be the last player to enter the drill for each rep.
Extra players are in lines outside the CSA and will rotate into a different line after their rep.
Run It:
The drill starts with 1v1 on the wing (1). Immediately after a result (shot, goal, save, turnover, etc.) the whistle will blow and it becomes a 2v2 with the next ball coming in from the top center (2) near the restraining line, followed by a 3v3. After the 3v3, the last ball will be thrown in by a coach to the attack at X who then initiates the start of the 4v3 (4). After 4v3 is over, the next players in the line will begin a new rep with a 1v1.
Optional Adjustments:
You can run the 4v3 from the top.
Change the pattern of the drill.
Turn the diamond into a box or any pattern that will stimulate what your needs are.
Equipment Needed: Balls, goals, and an 8m
