This Drill Highlights:
Inside Shooting with an emphasis on faking
Outside shooting with an emphasis on power
Delivering passes ready for a shooter
Description:
Set Up:
Sequence 1: A player(X1) with balls at the center hash on the 8m. 2 lines on each side of the cage (X2 and X3). X1 passes to X2 who is curling the crease with her right hand, she catches, fakes and shoots. X2 then goes to the first hash on her side. X1 passes to X3 who is curling the crease with her left hand, she catches, fakes and shoots. X3 then goes to the first hash on her side. X1 passes to X2 who is set up for an outside shoot. X2 wants to catch loaded and work on a powerful shot. Players should not be shooting on the move or running. X1 then passes to X3 for an outside shot. Now time to rotate. X1 goes to the end of the left handed line, X2 becomes the feeder and X3 goes to the end of the right handed line.
Sequence 2: Give and Go - same set up as previous. X1 passes to low crease to X2. Instead of curling, X2 is going to pop away from the crease, catch and pull under (her stick pulls across and steps toward the crease). X1 passes to X3 who does the same. X1 passes to X2 who is at the 2nd inside hash. X2 catches standing, fakes an outside shoot and passes back to X1. X2 cuts towards the middle of the 8m and X1 delivers a pass. Repeat for X3. Same rotation as previous.
